Paula Cole Picture
Paula Cole (born April 5, 1968 in Rockport, Massachusetts, USA) is an American singer and songwriter. Among her hits include "Where Have All the Cowboys Gone," "Me," "I Am So Ordinary," "I Believe In Love," and the theme to the WB's hit series "Dawson's Creek," "I Don't Want to Wait." Cole released her debut album, Harbinger, in 1994 with Imago Records. She so entranced the industry with her vocals that she was asked to tour as an opening act for Peter Gabriel; she also appeared with Melissa Etheridge to sing a duet on VH1 though she was not well-known at the time. Harbinger featured songs dwelling on Cole's personal experience with discrimination and unhappiness. The songs were musically lush but driven and bleak.

Saturn Girl Lyrics

Paula Cole

Lost in another world, oh saturn, saturn girl.
Far away, ot an infinite world I escape
Im clear and calm, Im unafraid.
Sunless days, in my sheltered milky way
In saturns rings I feel no pain.
In my heart, in my head
Oh, saturn girl has always bled
No youre not, from this world
Saturn girl.
I cant explain, why I dont belong to the same world
I dont fit in, and I will not stay.
I want to fly, oh I long for my violet skies
My astral nights, my peace of mind.
Chorus
Lost in another world, oh saturn, saturn girl.
Saturn girl, Id rather be lost in my empyrean world
Than be down on earth.
Chorus
Everybody tries to break my dreams to break through,
They dont believe in my words, they dont believe in my world.
Oh youre lost in another world,
Oh youre lost you saturn girl, oh you crazy girl,
Oh you saturn girl...
Chorus
